4th of December 2013. My right thumb is numb. I woke up this morning with a numb thumb. I can feel that it is more than it seems to be. 10 days later, after the numbness has expanded to my whole arm and part of my thorax, I come alone to the conclusion of what it most likely is (later confirmed by the MRI): a first episode of Multiple Sclerosis.
9 years later I remember that day. It marked the end of a certain life and the beginning of a new one, or did it really happen just then? What I know is that a new journey began that day, a journey with moments of despair but mostly moments of joy actually, when I started asking myself the real questions. They led me to so many unexpected and incredible discoveries. Today I feel like I really found the way back to myself and to well-being.
This is the journey I want to share with you.
