Shiatsu (literally means “finger pressure”) is a massage technique that originated from Japan, based on traditional Chinese medicine, similar to acupressure, and a holistic approach that aims to balance the body’s energy pathways, called meridians. During a Shiatsu session, I will use different techniques, such as rocking, pressuring, stretching, and tapping, to unlock the energy pathways and release physical and emotional distress, most of the time unconscious, to restore balance and promote healing.
A shiatsu massage leaves you like with a deep sense of relaxation, where the body feels rested.
A Shiatsu massage offers a great opportunity to realize the importance of the body-mind interconnection as it focuses on the body’s expression to perceive and relieve distress at all levels (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual).

Shiatsu is also used to help a wide range of chronic conditions related to stress. It energizes the whole system, stimulates blood circulation, restores vitality, reinforces the immune system, and enhance overall well-being.
Unlike other kinds of massages, Shiatsu is performed with clothes on.
